Agriculture students practice meat inspections

This past week, Intro To Ag students have been learning about different careers in agriculture! Our organization FFA (formally known as Future Farmers of America), holds different events around the state called CDE events. CDE stands for Career Development Events.  These events are not only competitive in nature, but also help build career readiness skills needed for whatever field students choose to go into after high school. Today our students had the opportunity to identify different aromas, inspect meat cuts, study and describe soil samples and even identify different dairy products with their taste and smell! If there was something that seemed interesting to them, they may have the chance represent Poca High School in a CDE event later this year!   See your counselor if you  have an interest in the Agriculture program.
